ITINERARY :

DAY 1 : Arrival in Colombo & Transfer to Kandy
Morning: Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo). Meet your driver and transfer to Kandy (approx. 3 hours by car). Afternoon: Check-in to your hotel in Kandy and relax after your journey. Evening: Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a significant Buddhist temple that houses one of Buddha's teeth. Stroll around the scenic Kandy Lake afterward.
DAY 2 : Kandy to Sigiriya (En Route Dambulla Cave Temple)
Morning: After breakfast, drive to Dambulla (approx. 2 hours) to explore the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 150 ancient Buddha statues and impressive cave paintings. Afternoon: Continue to Sigiriya (30 minutes from Dambulla) and check in to your hotel. Late Afternoon: Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion Rock), an iconic UNESCO site that offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from the top. Evening: Relax and unwind at your hotel or enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan cultural show.
DAY 3 : Sigiriya to Nuwara Eliya (Tea Country)
Morning: Depart for Nuwara Eliya (approx. 4.5 hours), passing through beautiful tea plantations, rolling hills, and misty mountains on your journey. Afternoon: Upon arrival, visit a tea plantation and factory, where you can learn about the tea-making process and sample fresh Ceylon tea. Evening: Explore Gregory Lake or take a leisurely walk through Victoria Park in the cool, refreshing climate of Nuwara Eliya. Night: Stay in a colonial-style hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
DAY 4 : Nuwara Eliya to Ella
Morning: Take the scenic train from Nanu Oya Station (near Nuwara Eliya) to Ella. This train journey is considered one of the most beautiful in the world, offering stunning views of tea estates, waterfalls, and lush greenery. Afternoon: Arrive in Ella, a laid-back town surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Hike to Little Adam’s Peak for a panoramic view of the region. Evening: Visit the Nine Arch Bridge, a picturesque railway bridge set amidst tea plantations. Enjoy the view, especially as trains pass by. Night: Overnight at a cozy guesthouse in Ella.
DAY 5 : Departure from Colombo
Morning: After breakfast, visit Ravana Falls, one of Sri Lanka’s most famous waterfalls, located just outside Ella. Afternoon: Transfer back to Colombo (approx. 5-6 hours). If time permits, stop for a brief visit in Negombo for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing. Evening: Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight.
